Eligibility Criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related discipline is necessary, or its equivalent.
- Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills in English
Skills that will benefit you in the role:
- We are looking for candidates with experience or an interest in modern programming languages, such as Java and Python.
- Experience in an SRE or DevOps model is preferred, but we also welcome those with a passion and a demonstrable understanding of the concept.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and repositories, such as Jenkins and GitHub.
- Proficiency in SQL querying and database interrogation. – Knowledge of software design, development, maintenance, testing, and improvement.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to go beyond role boundaries for success.
Role and Responsibilities
- The primary goal of this post will be to contribute to the formation of an SRE practice/discipline within Corporate GTSM and to drive the agenda within the department while supporting the overall team objectives.
- Help minimize MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) and increase department stability.
- Be consistently great at all we do and assist to drive this mindset throughout the department. Make everything we touch better.
- Drive Full Stack Observability throughout the department and demonstrate how it can be leveraged to achieve our objectives and reduce MTTR.
- Contribute to the use of automation and role model how to use it to drive savings, consistency, reduce MTTR, and meet our objectives.
